The English Springer Spaniel is a sweet-faced, lovable bird dog of great energy, stamina, and brains. Sport hunters cherish the duality of working Springers: handsome, mannerly pets during the week, and trusty hunting buddies on weekends. Built for long days in the field, English Springer Spaniels are tough, muscular hunters standing 19 to 20 inches at the shoulder and weighing between 45 and 55 pounds. The double coat comes in several colors and patterns, the ears are long and lush, and the kindly, trusting expression of the eyes is a cherished hallmark of the breed. Springers move with a smooth, ground-covering stride. Bred to work closely with humans, Springers are highly trainable people-pleasers. They crave company and are miserable when neglected. Polite dogs, Springers are good with kids and their fellow mammals. They are eager to join in any family activity. Long walks, games of chase and fetch, and swimming are favorite pastimes of these rugged spaniels.
While they are happiest living indoors with their human family, English Springer Spaniels enjoy outdoor activities and make great companions on long walks or hikes. With proper exercise the breed can be suitable for owners living in a small house or apartment, although a home having a large, fenced yard where the dog can run or engage in play-sessions with his people is probably ideal. Daily exercise will help keep the Springer healthy and happy. This can come in the form of long walks and play sessions. The breed also exercises mind and body by participating in obedience, tracking, agility, rally, and other activities that can be enjoyed by dog and owner.
Early socialization and puppy training classes are important and help to ensure that the Springer grows into a well-adjusted, well-mannered companion. Springers are lively and highly intelligent, and continued training and gentle guidance are vital. The owner should be sure to be in control at all times, because the Springer is an active and forward explorer of his environment. The Springer wants to be with his family, and undesirable behaviors can result if he is regularly left alone for long periods of time.
Justin is our up and coming stud to future Springer litters. He is half Euro with a Polish imported sire and an American dam. He is super duper sweet and soft hearted, but overall an exuberant, playful, happy boy. He loves everyone he meets...dogs, cats, humans, especially if they will play with him. He still thinks he is a baby and tries to sit in my lap for cuddles.

Merry is a 4th generation, born and raised here, and is the spitting image of her mother and grandmother. She is a sweet and goofy girl, loves to get the others to chase her or play tug of war. Outside she can spring, leap and jump with agility and ease, but in the house she hasn't figured out how to jump and can only get on furniture by climbing or being lifted, LOL. She also thinks she is still a baby and loves it if I hold her on her back in my arms like I did when she was a wee little lass.

Orion is our daddy dog, and my best buddy. He is incredibly loyal. He loves to help with barn chores and go along for horseback rides. He keeps a close watch over all his family and wants to be near us at all times.
Nala is Pokey and Orion's daughter and is such a laid back easy going girl. She takes everything in stride and thrives on making us happy. She loves to go swimming and doing anything that is with us.
Pokey is Olivia's daughter and one of the first puppies we kept from our own breeding. Pokey got an extra dose of sugar when God made her because she is so sweet and has never done a thing wrong in her whole life. Her special talent in life is giving kisses, and if you aren't paying attention you just might get a wet willie in your ear!
Olivia was one of our first Springer Spaniels. She is endlessly goofy, photogenic, loyal, fun and easy to love. She cannot sleep without a pillow and will even take one off the couch to lay on the floor with. She loves to swim and go hiking. Her tan cheeks aren't so bright anymore and her hearing is a little dim, but she will still perk up at the sound of a treat wrapper or mention of a walk in the forest.
